What is a spiral canal?
- Structure: They are made of metal sheets (usually galvanized, aluminum or stainless steel) that are connected in a spiral. Its internal surface is smooth, which reduces friction and improves air flow, and its external surface has spiral seams that increase strength.
sex
- Galvanized: widely used and resistant to rust, suitable for most environments.
- Aluminum: light and ideal for wet areas.
- Stainless steel: for special sanitary or industrial environments.
- Diameter: usually between 10 and 200 cm.
- Standard length: 3 meters, but can be customized up to 6 meters.
- Sheet thickness: 0.4 to 1.25 mm depending on air pressure and application.
Spiral channel applications
Air conditioning:
- In residential, commercial buildings, sheds, and factories to transfer supply, return, or exhaust air.
Material transfer:
- Moving bulk materials such as grain, sawdust, or powder in industries.
Dust collection:
- Due to the smooth internal surface, it is suitable for dust extraction systems in wood or carpentry factories.
Industrial and kitchen hoods:
- Because of high suction and good efficiency.
Smoke discharge:
- In parking lots or industrial environments to release toxic gases.
Garbage shooting:
- In tall buildings for waste transfer.
Specific industries:
- Such as petrochemical, automotive, or laboratories to transfer liquids or oily substances.
Advantages of spiral canal
- High strength: the spiral structure and diagonal seams make it resistant to pressure and impact.
- Leakage reduction: spiral seams create better air sealing.
- Better air flow: smooth internal surface reduces friction and pressure drop, so system efficiency is higher.
- Easy installation: need less connections and faster installation than square channels.
- Beautiful appearance: especially in exposed projects, it has a modern effect.
- Corrosion resistance: especially the galvanized type in wet environments.
- Noise reduction: round design and solid structure reduce noise and vibration. Cost-effective: lower production and installation costs than traditional square channels.
Space: Square fits better in tight spaces, but spiral is more suitable for large and exposed projects.
Purchase and installation tips
- Suitable material: choose aluminum for wet environment, steel for hygienic environment, and galvanized for general use.
- Dimensions: Choose the diameter and length based on the required air flow and project standards.
- Connections: Use quality couplers, flanges, and dampers to reduce leakage.
- Insulation: To reduce energy loss, consider elastomeric or similar insulation.
- Professional installation: the installation should be done by a specialist to prevent leakage and subsequent problems.
- Price: The price depends on the material, thickness, diameter, and volume of the order.
- Brand: Among the best reputable brands in the country, Kolak Fan brand is the flagship of the spiral channel production field.
